Happy Halloween!

I have always wanted to celebrate Halloween just to get a feel of what it is like to dress up as our favourite character. This is the only day you can dress weird and there would be lots of other people on the streets to accompany you =P

So it got me thinking. Which Halloween costume would I choose if given a choice?

1. Pirates

This is definitely inspired by "Jack Sparrow"!

2. Dark Angel

Love the outfit except for the net stocking......

3. Greek/Rome Goddess

I love Greek and Rome History hence this outfit. Plus it is the only outfit that doesn't look so weird out on the streets since toga and gladiator sandals are back in fashion!

5. Female version of Freddy

This would totally fit the whole Halloween atmosphere. It sure looks scary with that long claws!!

Top 10 reason why it is better.....

To be a girl

1. We can cry without pretending there's something in your eyes.
2. We always end up sleeping in the bed when we fight with our other halves- you guys get the couch
3. It's cool to be a daddy's girl. It's sad to be a mummy's boy.
4. Women don't need an excuse to be in a bad mood
5. We can cover our desks with elaborate stationery
6. We can use cosmetic goodies to help us out should we wake up looking like toss in the morning.
7. We can go all weak and therefore carry fewer bags home from our shopping spree
8. The thrill of surprising people by being good at darts... and pool..and football
9. Chick flicks
10. We can read Jackie Collins, Jane Austen etc all in one week without compromising our sexuality....

To be a guy

1. A five day vacation requires only one suitcase.
2. Your bathroom lines are 80% shorter.
3. You don't have to lug a bag of useful stuff around everywhere you go.
4. You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness
5. You can be showered and ready in 10 minutes.
6. Three pair of shoes are more than enough.
7. You don't give a rat's ass if someone notices your new haircut.
8. Gray hair and wrinkles add character.
9. If an other guy shows up at the party in the same outfit, you might become lifelong buddies.
10. You don't have to remember everyone's birthdays and anniversaries.

The Comeback

What defines a good comeback? To be able to sprout a comeback as and when the situation demands for it. Most importantly? To do all that with good manners whereby it is effortless and I can be comfortable in the situation even after saying it.

But the problem with the comeback is that a good one doesn’t turn up until after I have thought about it for a while!! Most of the time I resort to malicious comebacks which as you know it does not end up well with most people.

If someone comments on something personal which I think they have no right to I would love to be able to carry off the following sentence with some attitude “ How nice of you to take an interest” and then turn my back. Well that is how they usually do it in the English drama ! (more specifically that is how the ladies does it in “Sex and the City” =P ).

I think I have to keep a list in my bag, so when I meet someone obnoxious I can say ” Hang on a minute, I have a list of comebacks for stupid people like you. Wait here it is! ”. After which I would whip out the list and read the suitable comment.

Do you think that would work?
